Samsonite Silhouette 11 Hardside 29" Spinner Review
I wish the reviews mentioning the weight were posted before I purchased this. If I had noticed how heavy it was, I probably would have gone for the 26 instead of the 29.
It's not a bad suitcase. It's quite large, but it glides on its wheels fairly effortlessly. You'll need those wheels though, because the suitcase itself is very heavy. This is listed at around 18 pounds and most airlines cap weight at 50, so you've already used up 2/5ths of your weight allowance on the bag itself.
The materials and such are adequate for a cheaper suitcase, although the buckle strap is useless since it does not cinch or tighten, and just hangs loose. I'll update this review after I fly with the suitcase in a week or so.
UPDATE
Flew with it cross-country. I packed a weeks worth of clothing and the weight literally came out to 49.8 lbs, so as I suspected, you can't pack very much without hitting the limit. The wheels operated very smoothly, making the suitcase a breeze to push/pull through the terminals. Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase. Bumping it up to 4 stars.
